Nationwide Foundation Scholarships

Nationwide Foundation Scholarship application and criteria (PDF)

In February 2005, the Nationwide Foundation awarded $44,000 to State Fire School for scholarships. To date, 160 scholarships have been awarded to firefighters, paramedics and emergency medical technicians from every region in Ohio.

In 2008, the Foundation extended their relationship with BGSU by approving an additional grant of $20,000 to State Fire School for 2008–2009. This grant allowed State Fire School to expand the scholarship program between the Nationwide Foundation and State Fire School. In April 2010, the Nationwide Foundation awarded $40,000 in scholarship funds to State Fire School for 2010 and 2011.

The Nationwide Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Nationwide Insurance headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Established in 1959, the Foundation provides vital financial support to qualified nonprofit organizations.

Recipients were chosen from regions established by a selection committee to assure that areas throughout Ohio are represented.
